Beautiful Day

It has been raining all day today,  looking through these photos surely put a smile on my face. We took Kaylee to a park couple weeks ago and she couldn't get enough of the kids and playground. She was all smiles and so friendly toward the kids, this mama is definitely proud!

The stinker is such a little model, she definitely know how to work the camera!

Don't let these photos fool you, yes although Kaylee is a sweet girl but there are days where I am exhausted, tired and think that I am not a good mother. I am learning each day and my goal in life is to be the best mom to my daughter. In all honestly, Kaylee has been pretty simple baby so I really can't imagine how other mothers, especially single mothers does it. I have so much respect for them!

Lookbook: Minty Mini Adventure

I hope you had a wonderful long Memorial Weekend! My girlfriend and I took a spontaneous adventure to DC and had such a wonderful time chit chatting and pigging out! hmm Korean and Vietnamese food!!!! It was my very first time leaving the husband, dogs, and Kaylee behind to go out of town for a day, I feel so guilty saying this but it was so nice to get away from changing diapers, laundry, cleaning and cooking!!! Oh and I went to Zara in Georgetown for the first time and couldn't get enough of their clothes! Cant wait to share what I bought there! Happy Tuesday!

The Sweetest Kiss

Being a mother to Kaylee is definitely a blessing and is also an honor these past 14 months. She is not only the sweetest but also a pretty easy going baby. We are truly blessed to have her in our life. I have to admit that the first year was tough for me, but mostly because I was learning how to be a mother and trying to figure out what each cry meant.  Thank god I have an amazing husband that also shares the responsibility of taking care of our daughter and being there for us through the ups and downs. All I want for Mother's Day was spending time with my loves, but hubby did give me the new ipad which is also very nice.

Letter from a Mother to a Daughter

Some of you may already read this little article that has been floating around facebook but I just want to share it for those who hasn't. I was at work when I read it and it was not a smart idea. I was bawling like a baby but luckily no one was around.

Letter from a Mother to a Daughter:

"My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”... Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep. When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl? When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way... remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day... the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If I occasionaly lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you. And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked. When those days come, don’t feel sad... just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love. I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you... my darling daughter. "


Happy Mother's Day to my mom who would not buy anything nice for herself but would give everything to her children. The wrinkles around her face shows all the hardships and sacrifices she went through to get us where we are today. I will teach my daughter to grow up to be respectful and considerate the way she taught us.
