I don't always dress up in pretty little dresses. On weekends I am mostly in jeans and tee or something comfortable so I can chase my 19M old baby.  My hair is usually a mess and I don't always wear mascara or lipgloss. What I love about blogging and also my corporate job is it allows me to be creative with my clothes, play with jewelry and look presentable. Chasing after an 19M baby and have to make sure she doesn't put anything in her mouth. It was an accident that hubby and I wore bright shirts on the same day :D  We both were to lazy to switch out ha!

In my heart this week: My baby, my child, my life, I don’t ever want my Kaylee to grow up. She is at the perfect stage in life right now where she is constantly learning something new each day. Purely innocent, I want to treasure it all. The other day I read an article  on Huffington Post about a 14 year old girl that was charged with first degree murder and aggravated child abuse. A life so innocent, the girl’s life has not even started yet, but closing to an end. She probably didn't have anyone to turn to and thought she could get away with hiding her pregnancy. My heart aches for the family. Today on the radio, the discussion was about birth control battle on a program that distributes Plan B contraception and birth control to high school girls. It got me very worried that one day I will have to have the talk with Kaylee. I am glad that I still have so many more wonderful years to spend with my baby girl. It has been 2 months since I last bought clothes so it was refreshing and exhilarating to wear something new :) (my husband also bought me a dress last week so that doesn't count right? ) I only go to the mall if I need to grab something quick or buy gifts for friends now. I make a list and stick to it. I no longer receive emails that is related to shopping. I work right across the mall so I used to go during my lunch break ALL THE TIME! Now I use that time to work out at a nearby gym. Here are some questions I ask myself before I buy something: Will I be able to wear this item more then 5-10 times?  Is it work and play appropriate. I turned 30 a few weeks ago and it was enjoyable, relaxing and refreshing to celebrate another wonderful year with some awesome people in my life. My journey to 30, I have learned so much and I still have a lot left to learn. Life has many wonderful lessons left to teach me. I learn that I need to do less and just enjoy the moment. My weakness is wanting things to be perfect but when in reality there is no such thing as perfection. The house will eventually get cleaned and the laundry can be put away later, instead I need to cease the moment and stop looking at the checklist and tasks and focus on what I love. Do less since I try to do too much all at once. Life is too short to stress over the small things.   Girlfriends make us healthier, happier, less stressed, live longer and feel more beautiful.  I am forever grateful of my friends who took their time out of their busy day and celebrated my big 30 with me. Blessed to have an awesome group of friends that care about me

Over the weekend, we attended our friend's traditional Vietnamese wedding and I was very excited for Kaylee to wear her ao dai. I can not get enough how adorable she look in her Vietnamese traditional dress! I made her hair piece the day before the wedding since I couldn't find any of her yellow bows. She did well and wore it throughout the ceremony! This expression warms my heart. She saw a squirrel on the rooftop and she was so excited! haha! I bought my ao dai in CA while I was there for a wedding a month ago and I love the simple look and the pink/blue contrast K's outfit for wedding reception. Cute black dress with a pop of red. She stole the purse from a friend  haha! Look at the way she is holding her purse! I have to admit that she is a happy baby! She has her moments but overall were soooo lucky that she's always smiling! I had to make sure that I matched with my little fashionista. Loved the wedding favor! Congrats to the lovely beautiful co
