Just Run

For Father's Day I ordered a cake from a local Vietnamese baker and told them on the phone that I want it to say "We Love You Daddy" When we got our cake, they somehow made a mistake and wrote We Love YOUR Daddy. haha We definitely had a good laugh! Apparently they love him too!

On Saturday I ran an 8k race to support the CHKD and it was such an invigorating feeling to cross the finish line with the pace of 9:46 per mile. I finished 51 out of 171 finishers in my age group! My body felt so renewed and refreshed and can't wait do another race.

Documenting the race through my iphone
Kaylee was super excited for her first 8K!

Before the race

After the race, we are still smiling!

Couldn't have done it without my coworker who helped me trained for the 5 miles! Me being cool ha ha

If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you'be been running for twenty tears. There is no rest to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."

  1. What a funny story about the cake! =) I used to run on the treadmill at home occasionally. I am not much of a runner though. Keep up the great work, Yvonne! I can't wait to start exercising again. Enjoy the rest of your week.
