Thankful for my friends

I turned 30 a few weeks ago and it was enjoyable, relaxing and refreshing to celebrate another wonderful year with some awesome people in my life. My journey to 30, I have learned so much and I still have a lot left to learn. Life has many wonderful lessons left to teach me. I learn that I need to do less and just enjoy the moment. My weakness is wanting things to be perfect but when in reality there is no such thing as perfection. The house will eventually get cleaned and the laundry can be put away later, instead I need to cease the moment and stop looking at the checklist and tasks and focus on what I love. Do less since I try to do too much all at once. Life is too short to stress over the small things.
Girlfriends make us healthier, happier, less stressed, live longer and feel more beautiful.

I am forever grateful of my friends who took their time out of their busy day and celebrated my big 30 with me. Blessed to have an awesome group of friends that care about me and only want the best for me. Life is meaningless if you don't have that one friend or friends that you can confide to, laugh with or let you borrow their shoulder to cry on. Happy Friday!

  1. Cheers to being in the 30's, i dont think i ever enjoy life and learn this much until in my 30's. It is an awakening stage where i learn to let go and embrace certain things. Wisdom sure comes with age and experience. The only thing i hate must be physical changes i guess..not quite ready for wrinkles and sagged buttoms..ha.

  3. Yvonne, one of the reasons i enjoy reading your blog is you don't try to paint an unrealistic perfect picture of your life. and you shouldn't want to achieve perfection in life. u are doing great raising a wonderful kid, working hard, yet still enjoying what makes u happy. i turned 30 earlier this year. i think its a wonderful age for woman. enjoy!

  10. I think I have wished you before for your birthday but I would wish you again. Happy birthday, Yvonne! I'm always glad to find bloggers falling in the same age range as there are so many younger bloggers nowadays.

The pink theme for the girl's outing is so lovely. And yes, gf definitely add doses of sweetness in your life.

It seems like you had an enjoyable birthday. Beautiful resolutions to keep, my dear.
