1st Birthday Part II:: Behind Kaylee's Shoot

Image
Before Kaylee's birthday party, we had Kaylee's newborn photographer, DCPG Photography and Design came and shot Kaylee's 1st birthday. I couldn't help but took some behind the scenes photos to share with everyone. I had to wake Kaylee up from a nap so she wasn't all that happy when we first started the shoot. Luckily she warmed up pretty quickly after Cies's daughter let her borrow her toy to play on the chair.  Cies and with her cute little personal assistant, future photographer for the DCPG :D Here is the result! They did an amazing job and I can't stop looking at them! Her eyes really sparkles in these photos!  She is just too adorable even when she is crying! Good thing mommy had iphone handy, she was all giggles again. Before the shoot, they took some beautiful photos of the decorations  here . The photos look like they are straight out of a magazine! You can view other behind the scenes photos from all of Kaylee's photoshoot her

DIY Cupcake::Jewelry Stand

Image
DIY Cupcake stand: can be used for many other things like organizing jewelry. Only $2 for this project! Super easy project to do if you have a spare plate that you are not using anymore or you can go to any dollar or Thrift store to find one. I found my pretty turquoise plate and candle holder at the Dollar Tree near our house. Using Krazy Glue, I let it dry overnight under some textbooks and it was pretty sturdy the next day!  I think it would be fun to spray paint the glass candle holder to white or a fun color next time I do this project again.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend! We are cleaning, organizing and more extreme cleaning this weekend! :/ Pin It

Lookbook: Hello Yellow!

Image
I can't get enough of this beautiful weather we have going on today. 70 today, yes seventy in February! Hope it is beautiful where you are at! Dress: Bebop Necklace: Thrifted : Purse: Kate Spade Belt : HM Did you know that the color yellow is psychologically the happiest color in the color spectrum, that's why I wanted to incorporate that color for Kaylee's first birthday party. It represents her attitude and personality in her first year. Her theme is You Are My Sunshine using Yellow and Turquoise as her main 2 colors for anyone wondering what her theme is :) Hope you are having a beautiful Thursday! Pin It

Preparing For Kaylee's 1st Birthday!

Image
I have been a little MIA lately since it is now crunch time for Kaylee's first party! Still a lot of things to do and plan. So far (luckily) everything has been going pretty smoothly! We got less then 2  weeks left and here is what we have so far. Can you guess the theme? So inspired by all these parties! Love looking at pinterest for birthday inspirations. source:  1, 2, 3  pinterest 4, 5, 6 I know I may be going a bit overboard with Kaylee's first party since she is not even going to remember any of it! but hey, she's turning 1 just once so might as well make it memorable :)
