Simply Yvonne

10 things about me.

I have gotten into 2 car accidents, got sued on both of them but didnt follow through because they were being greedy and lied about having back aches.

Growing up, I hated the shape of my eyes because people would always make fun of how small it is. Felt really inseure and I would wear a lot of eye makeup to hide it, but now I use makeup to enhance and embrace it.

I didn't smile with teeth until my early 20s because I thought I look awkward and cheesy when I smile with teeth :D

I have always had long hair, but last year I wanted something different. I told my friend to cut it shorter then normal but she went a little cutting happy and chopped off 10 inches of my hair! I cried and was depressed because I hated it. 6 months straight, I had my hair up in a pony tail and had to buy hair extensions.

I was born in Vietnam and our family moved to cold South Dakota when I was 9. I am currently in Virginia with my husband, baby and 3 dogs.

I am not afraid of spiders but worms scare the heck out of me.

I got interested in interior design because of Candace Olson. All the rooms she designed are fresh, clean and amazingly beautiful. If I was a rich girl, I would hire her to design my house!

Purple use to be my favorite color when I was young until my parents told me that purple is the color of sadness in the Vietnamese culture and didn't allow me to decorate my room with purple.

Number 9 hold a special place in my heart. I met my hubby in the month of September, both of our birthdays are in September and we got married on 09-09-09 (reception 09-12) I delivered Kaylee room 9 and we got to the hospital at 9am.

I often have a hard time expressing myself in words and I don't normally share too much personal stuff about myself (except sharing lots and lots of photos of baby girl)..so hope you enjoy reading this and know a little bit more about me

  3. I love reading facts about my favorite mysterious bloggers like yourself who rarely say personal things. That makes you a mysterious lady!

Number one is insane, people sue for the sake of suing. Glad you didn't have to involve in such messes. Small eyes are sexy ;) I like you with short hair though, you look very edgy and it suits your face. If my hair was like that, scary! Purple is a widow's color in my culture.

Thanks girl for passing on an award, I graciously accepted with humbleness. I think I have shared (a.k.a exposed) myself way more than people care to know :D

  10. Love personal posts. Thank you for sharing more about yourself :)

Awww, you have a beautiful smile, Yvonne! I love how as the older we get, the more confident and comfortable we feel about ourselves. That's about the only advantage of aging, haha.

Candace Olson is my #1 favorite interior designer on HGTV. Yay for same tastes :)

Thank you so so much for the award :) Like Nelah, I think I've also shared way too much about myself, hahaha.

  15. I think you look cute with short hair. I used to have short hair myself but if I ever think twice cutting off all my hair now I would cry. I love this post so glad I now know a few things about you. I can't believe about Number 9that is some outcome on how you two met and how everything else fell into place with your wedding and baby. I hope you have a great day.
