over the weekend...

Kaylee turned 18 months. She is so quick on her feet and can maneuver an ipad like it's her own. Always smiling but can fake a good cry. These 18 months has been a bliss but that is going to change soon! Potty training coming right up! This is something hubby and I have been dreading but can't wait to save money on diapers! I think it's going to be interesting and also nerve recking for K and I. Any feedbacks would be greatly appreciated! Over the weekend we did our 2nd annual grape picking, my all time favorite fruit to pick! Muscadine grapes has this tangy, sweet juicy flavor that is so addicting! We ended up with 16 lbs of grapes and already planning our next trip back to stock up. I am done with the hot and humid weather. Can Fall please come a bit sooner! Have you gone grape picking? I highly recommend it! :) Have a great day!

Happy Happy 17!

It's so good to be home and see this happy face! Flying is so stressful, I now have airport phobia for being stuck there for so long! Kudos to anyone that is always on the go! Thank goodness for my ipad for keeping me company, I finished Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella while waiting and Delta gave me $400 voucher for overbooking my flight! Kaylee and her awesome milestones this month: She is no longer on breast milk and just organic vitamin D (I think it's kinda awesome that I was able to breast fed her for 17 months) It was definitely not easy weaning her out of it.  So glad that she can finally sit still through a book and enjoy me reading to her.  No more winkling around or try to steal the book from me. I love having this bonding time with her. She can hum to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle little star and she must watch this adorable video each day! She is such a petite little girl, weighing only about 20-21 lbs. Still really picky with food and eat v...

Kaylee at 15 Months!

Image
Little Miss K is walking like a boss now, constantly on the go and we have to be more watchful than ever to keep her from bumping into things. She is starting to throw some tantrums but I guess tantrums are inevitable for a 15 months baby? Her bedtime has been pretty consistent, in her crib by 9:30! Woo-Hoo! I love her so much but I also love it when she's sleeping peacefully in her crib. We met up with a college friend of mine last weekend at the beach and we were able to see Miranda Lambert in concert through the balcony. Too bad I was too busy chasing after Kaylee, she can not sit still!!! My friend's baby is only 8 months and she is too adorable for words!!! Kaylee can't stop touching her small cute fingers. Busy busy week for me, my sister and her friend are in town so I'll be busy showing them around. It would be great if I can get rid of this cold I am having too! Happy Thursday!

14 Months of Pure Joy

Image
Kaylee upgraded from her rocking chair to big girl chair when she turned 1! I can finally say motherhood is not so bad, now that we got the whole sleeping arrangement down and she is sleeping in her nursery with no fuss! She is walking, talking and often singing and humming. Caught her several times walking over to the dog's station to try on their food, eek! Luckily she hasn't eaten any yet! (not that I know of) She loves eating, just like her momma and I can tell that she is going to be a picky eater when she's older. She can eat fruits and Pho (Vietnamese Noodle Soup) all day long and can not get enough of sushi! Happy 14 Months baby girl. Mommy love you so so much!

8 Months and counting

My sweet baby is growing so fast! Crawling everywhere now and I have to constantly keeping my eyes on her. Already trying to chase the doggies, too bad they are too fast for her hehe I am not ready for the daylight saving this Sunday (except I could use an hour of sleep) I'm not fond of going home at 4PM and it's already dark outside. It's going to be hard taking photos of Kaylee indoor since I don't have an exterior flash. Not big difference in size from Month 7-Month 8 and she is eating well too. She can now stand on the chair on her own and is not afraid of falling! Daring little girl! I had a conversation with this one lady the other day and the whole time, I kept saying..uhuh, yeah, oh ok because she was telling me what my baby should eat and how she know it all since she went through it with her first child. Do you get annoyed when people tell you how to raise your child or give you their 2 cents when you didn't asked.

Teddy Bear Love

Image
There's just something about a Teddy Bear that's impossible to explain. When you hold one in your arms, you get a feeling of love, comfort and security. It's almost supernatural .   I was born in Vietnam so I never had a teddy bear until I moved to the states. In fact my very first doll was when I was around 8 and I had my very first birthday party at age 9. Growing up in our family, you don't complain about what you don't have but should be grateful for everything that you  do  have.  I may not have all the cool toys as a kid or newest, greatest clothes,  I was still a happy and grateful little girl growing up. I learn to be more creative with what I have and I think with my past, it made me who I am today.  I am so grateful for everything that we do have today and will continue to teach our baby girl that important things in life cant buy with money. This lil munchkin make us feel grateful and blessed each day. Mommy no longer have to help you sit u...
