Teddy Bear Love

There's just something about a Teddy Bear that's impossible to explain. When you hold one in your arms, you get a feeling of love, comfort and security. It's almost supernatural.
I was born in Vietnam so I never had a teddy bear until I moved to the states. In fact my very first doll was when I was around 8 and I had my very first birthday party at age 9. Growing up in our family, you don't complain about what you don't have but should be grateful for everything that you do have.  I may not have all the cool toys as a kid or newest, greatest clothes,  I was still a happy and grateful little girl growing up. I learn to be more creative with what I have and I think with my past, it made me who I am today. I am so grateful for everything that we do have today and will continue to teach our baby girl that important things in life cant buy with money.
This lil munchkin make us feel grateful and blessed each day.

Mommy no longer have to help you sit up and you seem to know the drill once mommy put you in the white chair for your monthly photoshoot. You are growing up so beautiful in mommy and daddys eyes and cant wait for what the further hold for the three of us, and of course our doggies too! xoxo

  1. Awww...so adorable! Someone gave my little girl a teddy bear when she first born and that teddy bear is still sleeping with her every single night. It's such a comfort thing for her. It's not just a toy, it's her friend/little sister too =)

  7. This knitted hat is so precious. I totally relate to sentiment of growing up with a little and make the most out of what we had- I agree it makes one stronger, more rescourceful and more appreciative. Probably makes the best moms too- because you already know how to improvise and think on your feet.

  8. Hi Yvonne, I was going to write that you are killing me with such adorable pics of your little one but then just glanced that Nelah wrote it first. But it's true- those pics are too cute, and I just want to pinch her cheeks. The best things in life are free, and the proof is in our kids. No amount of money could ever replace even one goofy smile from them!

I thought it's rather creative as I would never ever think of a teddy bear this way.

I really love how Kaylee looks just like an advertisement baby and she looks so cute in the round chair. Can't wait to see November!

  10. So true ... honestly, it seems to me that kids have so much "stuff" these days and, really, at the end of the day I would much rather have my values and my friendships that any material thing, ya know?

That being said, we all need to hug a teddy bear now and again :)

Your baby girl is SO CUTE ... I just love these photo shoots ... that smile is contagious :)

    Have a beautiful day, friend!

  19. You are so right, there's something about teddy bears that brings out happiness.

I remember growing up and wanting what other kids had, but knowing that I couldn't have it so I made do with what litlte I did have.

Makes us stronger and MUCH more grateful!

Enjoy your weekend. And hug tht cute little baby extra hard!

  20. Kaylee has the most adorable smile! i love that hat on her! where did u get it?

i love those monthly pics of her in the chair too. i wanted to get an Eames rocker and do monthly pics like that too but never got one. Will have to for next baby!

Oh, and I was born in Thailand and never had many toys growing up either. I think i got my first Barbie when i was 9 and her arm broke. :( So much of my childhood was spent playing with things we already had like elastics made into long ropes to play jumpsies and rocks and sticks to play pick up sticks. lol. i know...sounds weird. haha.

    :)
