Home Inspiration

Hubby and I are thinking about refinancing our home this week since we bought our house back in 2008 and the interest rate few years ago was crazy high. The problem we are having right now is..is it worth refinancing if we are only planning to stay at our home for another 3-4 years? By all means we love our home, but 3 bedrooms may not be big enough for us when Kaylee is older. We want to start looking for our next home right before Kaylee start pre-K so that we can get her into a good school district. argh so much to think about! I get so bored when reading about escrow, principal, and interest rates. :)

Forget the boring home terminology, I am already thinking home decor for our next home! I get butterflies just thinking paint swatches and decor shopping! Follow me on pinterest for my home decoration ideas. send me a msg if you need an invite.

I love the pop of yellow. Been loving this color this year for home decor.

Would love an office with clean lines like this one.

Who knew pink and mustard yellow look so good together

High End shopping bags into wall art, what a great idea!

I won't want anyone to sit in here if holding a drink lol

oh to have a closet like this!

Perfect idea for Kaylee's room.

A home is not a home unless it is filled with love :)

3-4 years is still a long way to go, but a girl can dream right? Has anyone refi lately and is it worth it? Thanks for visiting and have a great Wednesday.

  3. WOW...I love your home decor ideas! I am holding off for as long as possible on signing up on Pinterest altho I think the hold off may be coming to an end! I tried to re-fi my condo but with condo prices in Chicago in flux, it was a no go. You could try to do a 3 or 5 year arm, those are great rates, but be 100% sure you are definitely moving out of this house within that time because the rate skyrockets thereafter! Good luck with your decision :)

  4. That is a tough one. Whatever you and your husband decide to do I'm sure it'll be the way to go. The decor for the living room in the first picture you showed looks really nice. I love how laid back it.

  6. Wow. the photos were so inspirational. I love the high end shopping bags as wall art (Chanel bags look so much nicer on the wall then in the recycling bin, no?). As far as refinancing your home, i've been there, done that. Here in Toronto, it's all about school district location. People are overpaying for crap houses just to get their kids into a good school. I'm sure you and hubby will make the right choice, whatever you decide!

  9. I might the last person on earth who isn't on pinterest yet! It's like a BIG creative outlet.

We actually refi last year because the rates were so low. My husband knows all about that stuff since he works for fred.die mac.

Can't wait to see what you will do in your new home. It'll be like a clean slate for you to decorate with all your creative ideas!

  10. Omg, I love these home inspirations. I love how cozy, modern, fresh and chic they look. House hunting is fun but the paperwork part sucks. My husband and I refinanced last year. If you plan to get into a new house within the next 4 years, it may not be worth the hassle, girl.

Talking about crazy work schedules, my husband has one :D. We NEVER have the same days off in 5 years. I am off on weekends, he is off two days euro.g my work days. He goes to work in the afternoon and comes home when we are already in bed. I am pretty much alone with my daughter 5 days out of 7. It is not easy at all, very exhausting when you don't have someone to relieve you. I am always jealous those couples who have the same work schedules.

  11. Such inspirational photos. The ideas are really unique. Combination of clashing colours, luxury shopping bags as wall art etc. I always get very envious of people of own their own homes. I would really love to renovate and decorate my home in the way I want.

  13. No advice from me except what do the numbers say after you've factored everything in and crunched it out? I have a friend who bought a place at the height of the housing bubble and with his place worth 50% of what he paid, he didn't think the extra $ up front equaled the savings per month. At least I think that's how he explained it to me, haha. But I don't want to lead you down the wrong path, so perhaps a financial advisory would help?

I loveeee interior decorating, but I bet once it's time to decorate, everything will be a mis-matching mess. Following you on Pinterest now!
