OOTD: Orange Sporange
Fun facts: The only word in the 20-volume historical Oxford English Dictionary that rhymes with orange is sporange, a very rare alternative form of sporangium (a botanical term for a part of a fern or similar plant)
I was thinking of a name for this blog post and had asked my husband if there are any words that rhymes with Orange..he said good luck, there are none. Ha! he's wrong!
Dress:Cardigan:Glasses: HM Belt: F21 Boots: Steve Madden
Although I did not get today off from work, I did find some pretty sweet deals at the mall over Columbus Day weekend sale. I bought this pretty orange dress for about $12 and F21 belt for just $3! The color of the dress is simply perfect for Fall weather. I love layering two scarves together when it's chilly in the morning.
How often do you shop? I think my friends and even co-workers have the idea that I shop a lot. In fact I only shop when there is a really good sale! I don't like to spend a lot of money on clothes since styles changes and it's not really where you buy your clothes but what you buy. I can wear this dress in the summer time without the cardigan and pair it with nice sandals. Overall this $12 dress is a good investment in my opinion:) I rather spend my money on food, Kaylee or a good designer classic purse that will last forever. What about you?

looove your outfit! you look so stylish - and the colors are amazing!
ReplyDeletehehe... I learn something new from your blog today -- the word sporange! It's great how affordable clothes and accessories put together could give such a great outfit.
ReplyDeleteMy friends and co-workers especially think I shop a lot too but it's also not the case. I only buy clothes in periods and would be of larger volume and hence I seem to have lots of clothes. I buy a mixture and in varying price range too. My boss would even know when an outfit of mine is new and would comment. lol... He didn't do it in a negative way so no worries on that.
How lovely! You look very stylish!
ReplyDeleteGreat selection!
hugs and kisses by Mani.
Beautiful fall look. Love that color for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI don't do a lot of shopping (although my hubby may disagree) and I always buy things on sale. I don't like paying full-price, even if I am in love with the item.
Like you, I'd rather spend my money on my baby!
What a great steal. I love to shop but I'm with you when it comes to buying clothes I'd rather spend it on Asa then anything and save it for something I truely need. Since right now opening my store every penny has been going towards that. But I love thrifting you can find so many things at affordable prices. Love the orange on you and never heard of sporange before.

I think people who read our style blogs must think we shop a lot. There are almost always new things popping up. I do think I spend more now than I used to, so compared to back then yup, I do shop a lot. But compared to other bloggers, it doesn't seem like I spend all that much. It's all relative :) I do know that I have no problem spending lots of $ on something I REALLY LOVE. It can be anything really, from clothes to bags to electronics, etc. Though I do try to keep those purchases to a minimum.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and $12 is an awesome deal!
