Baskets For Crafting } Guest Blog

I am so excited to have Abby from dirtontherocks sharing different ways to organize your craft supplies. When it comes to organizing, my husband is a lot better then me. I tend to not put things back to where it belong.  This post is inspiring me to organize this 3 day weekend! :)

Do you do a lot of crafting at home? Do you scrapbook? Is your craft area a complete mess? Pinterest has tons of amazing organization solutions..

Hi there, my name is Abby and I blog at Dirtontherocks.com and Bigboychronicles.com. Thanks to Yvonne for giving me the opportunity to guest post about organization today. I wanted to share some ideas I found on how to organize craft supplies.

Mason jars are great for the little things that you need to store. They can be used in the kitchen, for gifts, and for storing small items. The great part about mason jars are that they are clear containers, so you can see exactly what you stored in your jar. You can also label your mason jars using a label sticker for easy storage.
Baskets

You can use mini baskets to store markers, pins, clips, stamps and whatever else you have. A great way to use a basket is for ribbons and tapes. You can easily slide a straw or a pencil to insert your ribbons and tape through and have each end of the basket to hold it; using it this way makes materials easily accessible. Ideas like this cost less than ten dollars and you can constantly reuse the basket to store other items in the future.

The great part about using baskets and mason jars is that they are stackable! You can stack all your mini baskets, so they can be easily be stored anywhere. You can also decorate or label your basket. If you have a room dedicated for crafting you can hang mason jars and the baskets directly on the wall, so it appears to be a shelving unit. They are very decorative and pretty to look at as well.

  3. I am not the best at storing my craft supplies in any organized fashion ... but what I do have going for me is putting my bits and baubles in mason jars... at least, if I know what I have, I will use it!
