My Little Black Dress
When I was pregnant with Kaylee, I did not purchase any maternity clothes at all! Here's a post I did of maternity fashion on some clothes I wore. I just didn't want to spend a lot of money on clothes that I would wear for short period of time. I would dig through my closet and wore whatever I could fit..or buy regular dresses that I know I can wear after having a baby.
My
4 months after baby. Best $15 I spent EVER haha!
Baby K just recently turned 4 months. I have been taking a photo of her sitting in this white chair every month. See month 1-3 here. I got the idea from Making It Lovely.
Hope everyone had a great long weekend! Mine definitely went way too fast and I can use another 3 day weekend. Glad I have half day this coming Friday!
Our friend's mom watched Kaylee for us so we went to see Transformers 3 in 3D with our friends on Saturday night. I don't know what's worse..falling asleep half way down the movie or the fact that I was wearing my sunglasses by accident for a good 2 min. My friend sitting next to me was shocked that my 3D glasses was so stylish! haha #ineedtogetoutmore
ur baby girl is wayyy too adorable!!

that dress is adorable! and i love clothes that aren't maternity but you can wear when preggers... that way you can wear them after again!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that little black dress. Its fabric and design seems soft, feminine and romantic. You looked great and very stylish when pregnant. I looked totally like a sea lion , all bloated lol. I think I only bought 3 maternity clothes and the rest I just bought regular clothes with loose fitting.
ReplyDeleteKaylee seems to be a little chubby now. Those chubby arms and legs...yum..yum.
Adorable little baby. You don't look huge at all you look great. I on the other hand was, and wish I could go back to my normal size but I'm working on it.
ReplyDeleteyou had a baby four months ago? you look GREAT :)
ReplyDeleteSo jealous that you didn't need to buy maternity clothes! And your little girl is the cutest :) Thanks for stopping by today!

Hahaha... You cracked me up so much that my little one thought i was mad to laugh like that.. Yes I got weird looks from her!! You look amazing.. all the baby fat has already melted. You are lucky I say :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm a new follower & I LOVE this post! I can definitely relate. I'm at 30 weeks and thus far I've only had to buy 2 pairs of maternity jeans. Thankfully, my style is maternity friendly and I won't have to spend a ton of money on stuff that I won't use anymore once the pregnancy is through. You look great during and after pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteBlack truly is the "slimmest" color out there. You're so lucky you didn't gain a lot of weight on your face (one of my biggest fears, hahaha). Truly a versatile LBD, and I agree, best $ well spent!
ReplyDeleteawe, i read making it lovely and adore those picture update posts, you've hit the mark with yours too! 4 months of bliss i'm sure. you are lovely - take a victory lap on that dress mastery!!!
ReplyDeletespeaking of sunglasses at 3D flicks. i once threw my good ones in the 3D recycle bin after a show and the next sunny day rooted around in my bag to discover this brain stumble moment. a shopping sesh for newbies followed thereafter - baha! ♥
you are soo cute!! love that you could just wear more normal stuff during your pregnancy!!
ReplyDeleteH&M has the best little black dresses, I got one for my senior banquet there and wore it to about 5 weddings and a few showers too. I finally retired it last summer and haven't found another yet as nice & versitile.
ReplyDeleteoh man you look fantastic! you look gorgeous pregnant and you're still gorgeous after. you definitely have that awesome mommy glow!
ReplyDeletei actually had no choice towards the last trimester i had to buy clothes nothing in my closet fit me, lol. i think i even ripped out of some maxi dresses. apparently my belly just grew overnight haha
