Unforgettable Moments

Image
Sometimes a mother can feel that the routines in her day are too repetitive. dishes, laundry, meals, diapers, and messes to clean seem to be the order of the day, every day. we may feel discouraged by this. yet, these routines bring great comfort, stability and security to the family. not only that, but each new day brings grand new adventures! new memories to build, new chances to love and nurture, and new opportunites abound, as we create loving atmospheres for our families. the precious moments are lived out right alongside those regular routines. every day brings with it the joyful anticipation of surprises, blessings, unforgettable moments, and the increase of love. enjoy the adventurous life in your home today.” ~m. kauenhofen  Came across this quote on Arielle's blog and I can really connect to this. It's a reminder that we shouldn't get caught up on the daily routine but enjoy each day, since each day does bring out new adventures and hope.   Kaylee and I ha...

Lookbook: Stripes and Red

Pants: HM Blazer: Bebe Shirt: HM Bag: Coach Shoes: Cole Hann "The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years."   ~ Audrey Hepburn Saw The Hunger Games over the weekend. Told myself to wait until few more weeks until all the hype to die down but this girl couldn't help it. I finished the book on Saturday and saw the movie that night. I really enjoyed the movie! It did meet my expectations and knew that they won't be able to fully put every single detail from the book into the movie. Catching Fire, you are in my next book to read! What are your thoughts on the book and movie?

To welcome the first day of spring, I gave the blog a new outfit filled with fun colors, paint strokes and chevron! Still working on other small touches but very happy with the result! Happy Spring Day everyone! Hope you like the new look!

Our Little Weekend

Image
I spent all day yesterday getting ready for spring, did some major cleaning and it feels great to be able to see clean carpet again! With three dogs and a baby crawler, we have to steam vacuum our house all the time and it's so much work dragging that streamer around!  My in between snack while cleaning, strawberries dipped with Nutella, way way better then chocolate, i promise! Not looking glamorous but we took our babies out for a walk right after cleaning so I didn't feel like changing. She is loving the new stroller we got her for the summer, mostly because she thinks she is walking the dogs :D.  Pretty flowers on our walk. Hope you had a wonderful weekend! So glad to be able to have a nice clean house now! Did you guys do any spring cleaning?

The little things

Image
Couple weeks ago I got myself a gift! A canon 50mm f1.4 lens. Nice little upgrade from my 50mm f1.8, just in time for spring too! I haven't been able to play around with the lens until yesterday when it was in the 70s outside.  Here are some photos I took with the new lens. Really loving it so far! Signs of Spring time! Using my Anthropologie egg crate as jewelry holder. My sweet friend got me some sweet macaroons. It was delicious! I am still at awe at how much these things are! Homemade Thai Tea, my new addiction! I simply love how nice and bright it is when I get home from work with this daylight saving.  I can finally capture some photos of Kaylee with natural lighting during weekdays These little munchkins love the outdoor, wish I can take them out more often. Walking 3 dogs and carrying a baby is definitely challenging! It has been a busy busy week and I am so glad that it's Friday tomorrow! Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

1st Birthday Part II:: Behind Kaylee's Shoot

Image
Before Kaylee's birthday party, we had Kaylee's newborn photographer, DCPG Photography and Design came and shot Kaylee's 1st birthday. I couldn't help but took some behind the scenes photos to share with everyone. I had to wake Kaylee up from a nap so she wasn't all that happy when we first started the shoot. Luckily she warmed up pretty quickly after Cies's daughter let her borrow her toy to play on the chair.  Cies and with her cute little personal assistant, future photographer for the DCPG :D Here is the result! They did an amazing job and I can't stop looking at them! Her eyes really sparkles in these photos!  She is just too adorable even when she is crying! Good thing mommy had iphone handy, she was all giggles again. Before the shoot, they took some beautiful photos of the decorations  here . The photos look like they are straight out of a magazine! You can view other behind the scenes photos from all of Kaylee's photoshoot her...
